6 days desert trip from Marrakech

After breakfast, the Morocco excursion starts with an early departure to Telouet over the High Atlas mountains, passing the Tizi Ntichka pass (2,260 m), visiting the Kasbah of Pacha Glaoui in Telouet (lunch on site). In the afternoon drive to Ait Ben Haddou through the Ounila valley with its Berber villages. Continuation to Ouarzazate. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 2: Atlas mountains – Ouarzazate – Agdez – Draa valley – Zagora

After breakfast departure to Agdez over the Anti-Atlas at 1660 m altitude, then continue to Zagora along the Draa Valley with its palm procession, passing many typical Berber villages, to Zagora. Lunch on the spot. Afternoon departure to Tamgroute to visit the ancient Koranic library, the underground Kasbah and the pottery workshop. Return to Zagora. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 3: Zagora – Draa valley – Tazarine – Rissani – Merzouga Chebbi Erg

Departure to Zagora through the Draa valley to join a track that leads towards the village of Taftechna and the village of Ait Ouaazique with its engravers repestres and the road to join Tazarine and Alnif to eat in the village. After lunch, we continue to the impressive dunes of Merzouga (Chebbi Erg) via Rissani. Then we will transfer from our 4×4 to camels where we will enjoy the sunset on a camel ride over the dunes and spend the night in a real nomadic bivouac in the depths of the dunes. Dinner and overnight in a bivouac.

Day 4: Merzouga Chebbi Erg – Erfoud – Touroug – Tinjdad – Tinghir

We wake up early to admire the sunrise and return on camels to the bottom of the dunes. After breakfast, we take the dirt road that leads towards the city of Erfoud. Then departure to cross the palm plantation of Tourog and that of Tinjdad (lunch on site), in the afternoon we continue to the Tudra Gorges where we spend the night. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 5: Tinghir – Boumalne – Gorges de dades – Rose valley – Kelaa Mgouna – Skoura – Ouarzazate

After breakfast, we walk for about an hour through the palm plantation of Tinghir, then we drive to Boumalne to continue to the gorges of dades for lunch. In the afternoon we return through the Dades valley to the Kasbah of Ait Youl. From here we take a dirt road that crosses the Rose Valley and heads towards the rose capital of Kelaa Mgouna, drive to Skoura and visit the Kasbah of Amredhyle and then continue to Ouarzazate.

Day 6: Ouarzazate – Marrakech

After breakfast, depart to visit the city of Ouarzazate: the kasbah of Taourirt and the film studio; then drive to Marrakech via the Tizi N-Tichka pass.
