5 days desert tour from Marrakech to Fes

Early in the morning, after breakfast at the hotel, we leave Ouarzazate for Skoura, where we will visit Kasbah Amridil, a beautiful kasbah surrounded by palm groves., the “route of a thousand Kasbahs”. Later, the journey continues through the Valley of the Roses, then cross off-road with the possibility of visiting nomadic families living in caves. Visit the Todgha Gorge and see the most beautiful rock formations. Then you will drive to Boulmane du Dades and have a lunch break. In the afternoon, you will continue to Tineghir and then to Todra Gorge to enjoy the magnificent view of the canyons. Dinner and overnight at the Kasbah Riad / hotel.

This morning you will walk through the palm plantations and enjoy the panoramic view of the Todra River. Later, you will drive towards Tinjedad where you will have lunch at a local restaurant. Later, you will pass several villages such as Touroug (Berber village) and El-Jarf before reaching Erfoud. You will visit a local fossil workshop. Afterwards, you will continue to the fascinating dunes of Erg Chebbi, also called Merzouga dunes. Upon arrival at the hotel, get ready for an hour and a half camel ride to enjoy the sunset. On the back of your dromedary, continue to camp or overnight in a traditional nomad tent. Dinner and overnight stay in the desert dunes.

Wake up early in the morning to enjoy the sunrise on the top of the dune in the Sahara and then have breakfast. After these beautiful moments, ride your camel back to the hotel where you can take a shower. You will take a tour of the dunes by 4×4 that will allow you to visit the black volcanic rocks with fossils, visit a nomadic family living in a tent, visit the village of Khamlia and listen to their spiritual Gnawa music, and visit the lake Dayte Sarji that forms in spring and attracts pink flamingos and wild animals. Then take a lunch break in Merzouga or Hassi Labied. After lunch, visit the irrigation system of the canal and take a walk through the oasis at the foot of the dunes. Continue to your hotel for a shower and relaxation. Dinner and overnight at an auberge.

Today you will drive to Rissani and explore the local market (souks). Later, drive to Errachidia via Erfoud, Aoufous and the valley of Ziz, stopping for a panoramic view of the oasis of Aoufous in the Tafilalte region. Continue to Midelt via the Tizi Pass if you are mined and stop for lunch, drive to Fes (the medieval city) via the cedar forest near Azrou and the Middle Atlas mountain with the possibility to see the Barbary Apes (monks). Before arriving in Fes, you can make a stop in Ifrane (the Switzerland of Morocco). Departure in Fes.
